March of the Queen

Artwork made for the exhibition "Of Kings, Queens and Castles" at Belgioioso Comics 2021
This artwork is a poutpourri of Queen references and easter eggs: the composition is the famous Queen II cover, used also in the Bohemian Rhapsody videoclip; Roger and John are wearing their costumes from the music video of "It's a Hard Life", while Brian is wearing his Zandra Rhodes angel costume and Freddie is wearing the regal crown and coat from the Magic Tour shows. The crowns on Roger, John and Brian's heads are the ones from the band's logo, each on the respective zodiacal sign. The lyrics in the background are from the song "March of the Black Queen".
